FAQ @ Team Upcycled Education

A cycling team, for real?

Yes, for real and totally awesome, right?

Why a cycling team?

Upcycled Education is capitalizing on the upCYCLING part of our name and putting together a cycling team to be ambassadors of the sport, promote quality and creativity in education, and showcase our gracious sponsors.

When will the cycling team roll out?

The cycling team is not currently taking applications. Thanks to all those amazing riders who applied.

What type of riders are you looking for?

Our riders will be of various cycling genres - road, mountain, cyclocross, bmx, and tricycles!  Of course, they will be sweet citizens and give back to the sport and their communities.  Perhaps, they will support the sport like this or this.

I want to be a sponsor, how do I get involved?

Just say the word!  Sponsorship entails product giveaways to team members annually or biannually, discounts on product, and/or pro purchase benefits.  The team gives preference to innovative businesses who seek to promote quality and creativity in education and/or share a love of cycling.

What's in it for my business to sponsor Upcycled Education's cycling team?

In exchange for sponsorship, your business's logo will be featured on team jerseys - which will be worn in events/races throughout the US.  Our riders will be like riding billboards for you!  Each sponsor will also be spotlighted annually on Upcycled Education and on our social media outlets several times a year.   Since Upcycled Education has grown from 300 pageviews a month to up to 25,000 pageviews, it is a great time to collaborate and forge a relationship with Upcycled Education.

Who should I contact to sponsor the cycling team?

Contact jen at upcyclededucation.com to inquire about sponsorship.

Speaking of bikes, what kind of bikes do you ride, Jen?

Let's see... I'm a Specialized girl.  My mountain bike is a Specialized Rock Hopper and my road bike is a Specialized Ruby Expert.  Mr. UpCyclist just came to the dark-Specialized-side with me and purchased his first Specialized cyclocross bike.  Before that, he was nothing but Trek.  Lil O likes to ride, too.  Her first bike was a Trek Jet.  She now rides a Giant MTX.

Does Puppy Jedi ride?

No, he runs. Ha!  Check him out here and here.  Jedi's got some serious keeping-up-with-bikers skills.
