Video Games for Tech Tuesday

Years ago, I went into a Video Game in Education class at Johns Hopkins University as a disbeliever and left the course as a game advocate and believer.

This short article speaks to the benefits of video games in learning.

See for yourself before you diss on all video games again.

  1. Very interesting article. This is the third "pro-video game" piece I have read in the past few months. Also, BrainPOP has a whole section of their site dedicated to games for the classroom. I think moderation is key, though.

  3. Thanks for this! The link led me to Kerbal Space Program. My son is completely enamored of the rocket-ship-building-and-flying game. It's a great incentive to get him through his regular lessons.

  4. Kim - Thank you for the BrainPOP update. Next week, your BrainPOP post is running. Yay!

Lauren - I'm happy your son is enjoying a rocket-ship-building-and-flying-game. What a great game/skill to master at a young age.
